Barony of Buckland Cross: Business Meeting December 19, 2024
Officers’ Reports
Baron & Baroness:
- Baron of Bhakail LOVED banner the barony made for him
- Every officer needs a copy of non-profit form to save money when purchasing things for the barony
- Need to decide on a date for a meeting in January to go review the barony bylaws
- Election years of officers need to be sorted out and need a document to keep track of what term everyone is on
- Really want to do an Artisan Village event, which could possibly be a summer solstice event. Would need someone to run it and a location to be rented. Very soon if planning for this year
Web Minister:
- Still getting bot slammed on the site. Spoke to Kingdom this week and might lose calendar because of them fixing the site
- Will send out emails to each officer (and those transferring into the positions) for their information
- Business meeting minutes needed
Herald:
- Nothing to report
MoL:
- Nothing to report
Exchequer:
- Ursula (former Exchequer) working on first three quarters with the East Kingdom exchequer
- Still dealing with prophet share issues of Shire Wars, EK exchequer aware, looking into if was purposeful or simply a mistake
Chatelaine/Knight Marshal/Fencing Marshal:
- Fencing practices going well, no injuries
- A person from who reached out after Bucks County Renaissance Faire interested in getting involved with Bucks Crossing and Bhakail, specifically looking for heavy fighting practice
MoAS:
- Nothing to report
Chronicler:
- Nothing to report
Seneschal:
- Still interested in potentially hosting a crown tourney, if a site can be found.
- BC will assist local barony that hosts it (1000 people is too much for most baronies to handle hosting on their own)
Elections Open
- Seneschal Christiane voted back in for next two years
- Sigrid voted in as Exchequer (was serving as interim exchequer)
- Zara voted in for Chronicler (was serving as interim chronicler)
- Herald Andruta stepping down; Guakmai voted in as Herald
- MoAS Alexondra stepping down; Cailleach voted in as MoAS
- MOL Zippora stepping down; Andruta voted in as MoL
- Zippora voted in as Deputy MoAS
Propose Web Minister and Chronicler position be combined, as many of their work overlaps
Old Business:
- Guakmai had originally found a site to host Crown Tourney at that could house 350 people, but Kingdom now wants a space for 800-1000 people. No time to find a site that large that isn’t already booked (EK wants bids by January 1st)
- Fighters want more melee events
- Day camp that was found is interested in housing a fall event
- Need to start putting events on the calendar
