Yes that’s right it’s a BBBBBBQ!
Join us for a backyard party to celebrate Kirsten’s (Sigridh’s) Birthday. We will supply the dogs and burgers, but we ask everyone to bring something to share such as a salad, veggie, chips, a favorite beverage, etc. …
I will be setting up the period medieval game of Lawn Billards for everyone to try, and I will also have a couple dozen target archery bows in various poundage on display for sale.
All the proceeds from the sale will go to the Barony of Buckland Cross.

HOODWINKED!
Join Yasamin al-Sardaniyya (Better known as Jaz) on April 30 for a Medieval Hood workshop.
This will be less lecture and more hands on.
Join Yasamin al-Sardaniyya (Better known as Jaz) on April 30 for a Medieval Hood workshop.
This will be less lecture and more hands on.
There will be examples of 14/15th century styles as well as the Skjoldehamn hood for you to see, feel and perhaps try on. I may have a few other examples ready at that time as well!
There will be resources and instructions for creating your own patterns from scratch and some patterns that are already made/pieced together to play with and mock up from.
We will *NOT* be sewing in this session.
Please bring:
• Tracing paper (I recommend freezer or butchers paper)
• Writing implements: A sharpie for tracing to your paper and a pencil or something to mark your fabric
• Tape measure
• Scissors
• If you have a yardstick/Tsquare, that could be helpful as well.
If time allows, or you are so bold to pattern straight to fabric – you may want to have:
• 1 yd of washed and pressed Muslin/Mock up fabric for each type of hood you want to work on. (Old sheets are great for this)
• Pins for fitting (I suggest safety/basting pins so they don’t fall out of your mock up on the way home)
