Join the Holy Kindgdom of Acre as they crown Vivian and Fredrick as the new Queen and King of Acre. Site opens and noon, ceremony begins at 1pm. Theme will be a festival day in 14th century Scotland. A fantastic feast will be prepared by Lady Charis.

After the ceremony and court join us for a festival day in 14th Century Scotland
There will be entertainment, A&S and a 9 Man Morris tournament

A Scottish feast will be prepared by Lady Charis
Cost for the event: $25 on-board or $15 without feast, $7 for kids

As of 1/1/17 we are not longer taking onboard reservations.

2:00pm- 1/2 hour break for Dayboard (NO food or drink allowed in the sanctuary)

3:30-6:15pm- Queen and King sitting in state

6:15pm- lighting of the remembrance candle
6:30-8:30pm- Feast and general merriment
9:30pm- Cleanup begins

Here is the parking information for the event. The church does not have parking. We have gotten permission to use the parking around the corner at the municiple building. You can pull into the church driveway, unload your car, troll and we will give you a parking pass. We will have people outside the event before the ceremony to help direct traffic. After you park in the lot there is walking path that leads right to the church. You can also use street parking wherever you can find it.

Leather-working for Beginners @ Churchville Nature Center

By special request we will be hosting a beginners leatherworking workshop. If you would like to attend, please bring the following tools if you have them;
1. a small sponge, and bowl
2. a cutting board such as plastic, granite, or marble (NO WOOD)
3. a rawhide or poly mallet. (a normal hammer will do if you don’t have a mallet)
4. X-acto knife w/ wide blade, Box Cutter, or a Swivel Knife if you have one.
I have a limited array of leather carving, stamping, and punching tools to share, so if you just happen to have any please bring them as well.
A small sample piece of Leather will be provided for you to learn with. If you want to actually make something like a belt, mask, etc, you will need to purchase “Tooling Leather” and bring it with you.

The Barony of Buckland Cross invites all good gentles to join them for the premiere investiture of the Barony, that of the The Honorable Lord Aurddeilen-ap-Robet and lady Sigridh Bengstdotter.

Highlights of the day will be a cookie competition, music and dancing.

SCHEDULE FOR THE DAY
Site opens:  10 A.M.
Morning Royal Court:
Day-board:
Music and Dancing will take place at the back of the Great Hall during the break between Morning and Evening Court.
Period and Modern Games will be available to play all day in the Community Center Game room located next to the lobby.  For the younger children, there is a separate children’s play room located at the end of the hallway off the lobby; just past the restrooms.
Cookie Competition and Judging will take place in the Café located next to the lobby, between the morning and evening court.
Evening Baronial and Royal Court:
Feast:  6:00pm
Site Closes:  9:00 pm

THE SITE IS HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE, AND THERE ARE A LIMITED NUMBER OF LOCKERS, A SMALL CHANGING AREA, AND TWO SHOWERS AVAILABLE IN BOTH THE MENS AND WOMENS RESTROOMS.
HANDICAP PARKING IS AVAILABLE, AND THE SITE ALSO HAS A DRIVE-UP CIRCLE FOR EASE OF ACCESS TO THE FRONT LOBBY DOORS.
