Greetings Easterners! It is my pleasure to forward the following announcement. The MOAS office is so excited to announce the date of our first Online Kingdom A&S Display, Friday March 27th! To be a part of this first round please submit your entry by Tuesday the 24th. We already have a few entries but we would love to see even more – any experience level is welcome, this is a great way to try your first A&S display with anything you have been working on! Pennsic A&S War Point Team: Call for Applicants

The following is forwarded on behalf of the A&S champions. Artists and Scientists of the East! Greetings from your Champions. While the balmy days of Pennsic may seem in the distant future, we are already hard at work in preparation for the Pennsic Arts and Sciences war point. To that end, we invite any members of the populace interested in becoming members of the war point team to submit A&S projects for consideration. This is a reminder that registration for both events are open. Please note, however, that the Crown A&S Registration ENDS February 2nd. The MOAS office would like to share a Q&A post regarding dates for A&S projects. Thank you for reading, and have a happy new year! Question for the MoAS Office: “I found a great example of a “thing” that I want to try to recreate, but it is dated to a bit after 1600. Accessibility: A&S Competitions

The MoAS Office has taken steps over the past several years to try to make the Crown’s A&S Championship competition more accessible for a wider variety of entrants. I want to take a moment to talk about these efforts, some of which you might be familiar with, and some of which might be new to you. First: In the Crown’s Championship A&S rubric, grammar/spelling has been removed entirely from consideration when judges are scoring an entry. Note that the information an artisan presents must still be presented in a manner that is organized to make logical sense to the judge.
